Three Nets for Geometric Solids- Prototype Stage 1a, 2a, 3a

Image and object are brought together in a series of small geometric structures that I've constructed to house and present my photographs. Each resulting object is an attempt to create a self-contained environment infused with memory. Serving as both a three-dimensional support and a sculptural piece, the hollow constructs are filled with a number of photographs placed in panorama. It is a device that is intended to represent a small keepsake or container of precious mementoes.

Important to the design is the understanding that these pieces are intended to be picked up and held towards a source of light. Their pictorial innards are only revealed through a peephole that constrains and directs a single viewer's gaze. Unlike most photographic displays, only one person at a time can view this small exhibition - it is a private experience and presents the curious viewer with a close and intimate contact to my work.
